VELOCIPEDE has been the architect for numerous commercial tenant improvements including brew pubs, taverns, fitness gyms, offices, and grocery stores.

From kitchen remodels to cutting-edge Passivhaus and net-zero-energy homes, VELOCIPEDE has earned a reputation for thoughtful, quality design.

Healthier buildings, healthier planet.

At VELOCIPEDE architects, we strive for thoughtful, responsible design to reduce toxicity, improve indoor air quality, save energy, and reduce impacts on the natural environment.

Thoughtful design starts with careful listening.

Our design process begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand your budget, your requirements, and your dreams. A building or renovation project is no small undertaking, and we strive to offer you as much support as you need, when you need it.

Clients enjoy direct telephone and email contact to a designated lead who is responsible for the whole project.

We offer rapid turnaround and timely delivery of our work, fully exploiting computer technology.

Design is in two and three dimensions using digital models, hand sketches, and color renderings to present our ideas.

Our Customers Have Nice Things to Say

Great listening skills and ability to creatively incorporate our needs into the design. Provided good info/resources on green materials and incorporated them throughout the design. Reasonable hourly rate and ability to estimate and stay within budget. High level of professionalism: flexibility of meeting times, always punctual, concise and able to get at the heart of things quickly, drawings that were useful—not just quick/rough sketches, great use of technology so we could see design at all angles. A dream to work with!

A process that we feared would be difficult and confusing turned out to be surprisingly enjoyable. We also obviously appreciated the lengths to which you went to make sure that everything turned out well, and your willingness to help us troubleshoot as the process went into construction. And, most importantly, we really enjoy our new kitchen, and enjoy showing it off to friends and family.
